Do Not Fear - God is faithful
Job 11:16-19 “You will forget your misery; it will be like water flowing away. Your life will be brighter than the noonday. Even darkness will be as bright as morning. Having hope will give you courage. You will be protected and rest in safety. You will lie down unafraid, and many will look to you for help.”
These verses are telling us that even though things are tough right now, they will get better, and according to v.17 they will get better than before. Verses 18 and 19 say we will have hope, be protected and be at peace.
God is faithful, He will turn the tide, we have seen it many times over. For example, in 1 Kings 17:1-7, God provided food and water for Elijah in the midst of a drought and in 1 Kings 18:41-46 God sent rain in response to Elijah’s prayer.
Then in the new testament we read in Acts 12:5 that “while Peter was in prison the church prayed very earnestly for him.” If we read on from there, we see that God sends an angel to rescue him and set him free!
These are just a few examples, but we need to do our part – keep praying, keep believing and keep standing in faith.’ Because “the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (James 5:16b).
