He is the mighty One
Praise the Lord once again this is so awesome to be able to share with you what our Lord and Saviour Jesus has been doing in our midst week after week. Once again a big God bless you real good to all our readers and subscribers to the Saskatoon Full Gospel website I trust you had a good week gone by and that you realized that you were more than a match for those things that came to try you.
This sunday again we had a tremendous move the Holy Spirit in our service we will be posting some of the video footage soon in the hope of encouraging those of you watching and reading on our site. The Lord gave us a Word from where we were Ephesians 5:18 to be filled with the Holy Spirit has definite results. Also we covered the portion of scripture from 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 what a time of revelation and then the manifestation of the Holy Spirit came into our service to confirm the Word of God.
The secrets of the portion we covered were locked up in the fact so many today have lost the full meaning of what the word GOD means. The word in the Hebrew is the El or Elohim means mighty one and the thing is simply this if the word says He is the mighty One we should believe it and act on it. God has been working in humanity for the longest time and still works with humans regardless of whether they believe it or not. Our societies have subscribed worldwide to the ideas of secularism, humanism and atheism is become a more attractive thing than the idea of GOD.The role of the Holy Spirit has been taught from pulpits around the globe that He is to bring the presence of GOD and that is not wholly true. And I believe the role of the Holy Spirit is to more about revealing the Presence of GOD.
The challenge to believers today with so much information around, there seems to be no lack and as a result believers are hardly ever found with the kind of hunger the scripture speaks about. There is a question that needs to be answered by all believers today and that why would the Holy Spirit need to reveal the Presence of GOD and the answer is elementary its because for the most part people are blinded to the Presence of GOD. ( 2 Corinthians 4:4) The bible says that the god of this world has blinded the eyes of the world that they may not see the glorious light of the gospel. But when someone is blind they cannot get around as easily as someone who has the blessing of sight and we take it for granted sometimes how blessed we really are. ( John 5: 17-19, 20) Jesus was careful not to just take for granted the things that come by pressing into a Holy Spirit encounter He said that He does not do anything except what He sees His father doing.
We have come to accept the mundane and dry and boring services as the normal way for us to approach God and that is all God has for His children, there is a dimension that Jesus spoke of available for the believers in Christ. If Jesus had to have His eyes open to see what the father was doing do not think you and will have to have eyes that can see into the spirit realm what our father GOD is doing and then go out and do that also. I don’t know about anyone else but I have had my fair share of lifeless church and mundane repetitious religious form and cold spiritual experience. It is in drawing nearer to God and hungering and thirsting after the Lord that we have found that the Lord draws near when we meet the simplest of conditions ( James 4:8). Jesus has left an open invitation ( John 7:37)to whomsoever will He has asked us to come to Him in faith because He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
The whole idea of believers having to do something they have not done before in order for them get something they have never had before seems to be unattractive. We live in a time and a generation here in North america where we are now faced with a generation of people who think they should be spoon fed and entitled to all things and everyone should serve their interests. the ills of plenty has spawned a society that has grown full of everything and still not satisfied because they have eaten of the things that cannot satisfy the inner hunger. But Jesus will not come down on His price and that is we are to come to Him and to drink and then we shall be satisfied. But I love the fact that when we serve GOD there is always even from the time we came to Him we are confronted with the LOVE of God and as we continue that refrain is felt and recurs over and over LOVE. And as look at the verse above John 5:20 with all that GOD wants for us and wants to in us there is always the idea shared about His LOVE for us. And because He LOVES us He wants to give to us as He gave to Jesus His son all things. So often when we come to church we come with the attitude of lets see what we can get out of the service not realizing that we can contribute to the service because we have the Holy Spirit living on the inside. Another bible scripture I want to share with is found Luke 11:13 how much more will the heavenly father I believe many a pastor leader is too busy or too embarrassed to confront the issues of ignorance in believers because we are afraid to offend those we are called to lead and shepherd but part of the mandate for pastors teachers and leaders is to nurture.
Back in the old testament we find the 2 Kings 6:14-14 we find the Syrian King determined to destroy the prophet Elisha because all the Kings secrets were revealed to the children of Israel via the prophet Elisha. The servant of the prophet saw something very different to the prophet he saw the activity of man and the prophet saw the activity of GOD 2 Kings 6:16. The exclamation of the prophet in 2 Kings 6:17 says it all, that should be how we see things all the time the prophet could see the activity of GOD and asked Him to open the eyes of the servant to see into spirit.
When we can see what others cannot see we have the boldness of GOD to go on and forward with what we see. Its why the apostle Paul said in Ephesians 6:12 our wrestle is not with flesh and blood but enemies in the heavenly realms. The foundations of FAITH should be rooted in the encounters we have with GOD it has been that way from the beginning. This might shock some but for the most part believers base their faith in doctrine rather than a real life encounter that is unmistakeable. Its what we see all through the Old Testament and into the New Testament how when the children of GOD had encounters they called Him names by their encounter.
