Hope

1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV) “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love”.

You may wonder why I chose this verse as it tells us that LOVE is the greatest but I felt through the direction of the Holy Spirit that the word HOPE should be emphasized. Hope is important, especially now as everyone seems to be hoping that this COVID 19 will soon be over and we can get back to normal again. I feel that the normal after this COVID 19 has passed over will not be the same as we knew it. I believe there will be a new normal for us.

A few lines of a song from yesteryear have been brought to my mind, which I believe has been given to me by the Holy Spirit. The few lines are: “I don't know about tomorrow; I know WHO holds tomorrow; I know WHO holds my hand.” These lines are important. We do not know what may happen tomorrow but we do know WHO holds tomorrow and WHO holds our hands. AMEN!! PRAISE the LORD!

Some have said, “Hope lies eternal within the human heart”. This is so true. Humanity is always hoping for something better. It may be a better day, a brighter tomorrow, better weather, etc. We, as born-again believers have a much better place, a much better person to place our hope in and that is our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ. The following verses tell where our hope must be placed. They tell us where our hope lies and in WHOM our security is.

Psalms 42:5 (KJV) Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. Psalms 42:11 (KJV) Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. Psalms 43:5 (KJV) Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. Psalms 78:7 (KJV) That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

Let us keep putting our HOPE in GOD, keep praising Him, remembering what He has done for us in the past and looking forward to what He will do for us. God has surprises ahead for each one of us! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord.

Trust that you find comfort in these few words. AMEN!!
