FOR HIS LOVE AND THROUGH HIS LOVE AND BY HIS LOVE

I would like to take this time to encourage and stir you on in the things of God. I would like to share with you from the Word of God. If you are reading this on our website and would like to know more about how to become a christian we would love to give you the chance to receive Jesus into your heart and life.

If You Do Not Know Jesus As Lord And Saviour You Can Ask Him Into Your Life Today And Find That Place Beside Him His Waiting For You To Call Thats right Go Ahead and Call On Him.

Jesus Wants To Come Into Your Heart and Life No Matter Who You Are and From Whatever Religion You Are There’s A Place Right Beside God For You. We know that there have been so many well meaning people who have made this free gift of God so difficult and complicated yet God has made it so simple to receive Him into ones life and secure a place with Him for eternity. There are those who have made it a life long vocation to analyze and cut up the Word and then leave the Power of the Gospel right out of it and all that is left is a form of Godliness but no power. “Jesus said to whomsoever will come unto Him” not unto a church building or particular brand of church or denomination or ideas or philosophy.

You could pray a simple prayer wherever you are you do not have to be in a particular building but right where you are you could ask Jesus to come into your heart and cleanse you of your sin and wash you from it and make you a brand new creature and that start you on a new life down here on earth and for eternity. I hope you reading this will take some time to do just that and if you did send us an email and let us know that you have prayed that prayer and how we can help you further with your new life in Jesus we have access to many materials and resources that could help along with growing and becoming a mature christian in Jesus Christ.

2 Chronicles 7:14

Probably one of the most widely used and viewed and taught verses in the the whole of the Bible. The opening remarks by the writer definitely demands we look carefully at what his intention is I believe its to draw our attention to the fact that the people spoken of here are Gods People, Called by My Name. God is speaking to those who are called the believers and to those who identify themselves with God and His work. It was at the dedication of the Temple that God had warned about the consequences of disobedience and what it would it bring to their nation and the land. (vs.13) This week at our church we are in a solemn assembly in Prayer and Fasting and it will have a profound effect on us as we draw near to God for a personal revival and renewal and refreshing in our church and ministry. We would be naive to think that we could have personal revival or renewal without any work on our part God will always be true to His end of the covenant.

As we look at the verse we covered in our opening 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 we can learn from those gone before us. One of the words that stands out in the scripture text is the HUMBLE in todays christian world as well as the world in general this word is not given much scrutiny and people would rather walk the other way than HUMBLE themselves. Humility is a word that gives the idea of one “under another ” one thing we must remember who is the Lord and who is the servant. The foundation of christianity is founded upon this one word, and that word frightens people, the bible says that the Lord Jesus humbled Himself and left His home in heaven to come and live and die here on this earth. But often times its so hard to find those who profess to be followers of the Lord Jesus who willingly humble themselves.

I want to pause here and sympathize with the countless believers who sit week after week in our churches and under ministers who display and model the opposite of humility. The church has been infiltrated by men and woman who are so proud and arrogant haughty and think they have a right to look down on everyone else now that they are on their way to heaven forgetting where they come from. These self proclaimed faultless men and woman profess to have all the answers to Gods people, model nothing more than pride and are what the bible calls heady Ministers. Its time that judgement began in our churches and that ministers as well as believers take the position of Humility that brings results that are lasting and results that bring Glory to the name of the Lord Jesus. I want you know its easier for us to just repent and come to that place of humility because there will come a day when God will Humble those have esteemed themselves above all others, and its a very embarrassing moment.

Is it any wonder people turn away from the things of God and walk in a lost state because our leaders have lost touch with root of Christianity if the son of God could humble himself and walk continually while on the earth in humility then so can we. So the first step towards any personal or corporate meaningful revival or renewal would be to prepare our selves by putting on HUMILITY We should recognize that even when we feel we cannot there is a God who can all the time and is open and waiting for us to call on Him. Second step towards realizing that goal of revival and renewal is to get serious a Prayer life and not a casual one because almost always casual christians end up casualties.

Prayer is admitting that I am totally dependant on God and the more times I get to serious prayer should reflect just how dependant on God I am. When you look at the steps taken in our text the next one says “Seeking His Face” it means to desire something the thing with desire there are all kinds of desires. Desire misguided could lead to disaster the prisons are full of people who had the wrong kind of desires but the Godly kind of desire we are talking about always leads to great things. Someone once said it like this “the true measure of a man is to be measured by the objects he pursues”

Finally we are to Repent as we see in the text the call to turn from our wicked ways and go in the opposite direction, of the direction leading to disaster and destruction. The thing is that when we serve God we find He has taken all the necessary measures to make sure we are covered from every eventuality.

We started out this weekly walk this week with a big IF in 2 Chronicles 7:14  now we close with three IF ” 1 John 1:8-10 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS IF WE SAY THAT WE HAVE NOT SINNED, WE MAKE HIM A LIAR, AND HIS WORD IS NOT IN US.
