I trust that you have been blessed this week gone by and that you are growing in the lord Jesus. This year we started out with several weeks covering the need for us to set proper foundations in the beginning of the year so we can finish the year well because we started well.

In the book of Acts 2:1-4 says “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place” This book begins with some awesome record of the events of the birth of the New Testament church. Chapter two of the book of Acts 2 is a fascinating portion of scripture and has much to teach us for today if we are to know the spirit of Pentecost. Where the holy Spirit is flowing there are four results you will always find present.

The Presence of the Lord will always have a sudden and strange awareness of the supernatural happenings. A sound from heaven like a mighty, rushing wind filled the house where the disciples were staying, and tongues of fire came to rest on them. This is one of the most important and significant event that must happen in the lives of believers to grow. In the new testament the Lord filled a new temple the church and thats you and me. Exodus 40:34 “Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle” This outpouring of the Holy Spirit is essential for the work of evangelism and on the day of Pentecost we see revealed two methods of evangelism. (a) Personal Witnessing as found in Acts 1;8 “Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me. The early believers did not receive to feel good and get a few high feelings but rather they received to become witnesses. (b) The second method we find is powerful preaching with lasting results Acts 2:14 refers to Peter preaching and thousands came to Christ that day. Such preaching leads to repentance and its anointed and its bold and its Christ honouring.

Here is the final word on this the early church had marks on it that said God was with them, Acts 2:41-47 There was a certain atmosphere that was present the believers had a fear of the Lord that is missing in many of our churches today. They also had reverence for the Lord and the work of the Lord that we cannot always see in our churches today. In verse 42 we see that teaching and I mean sound doctrinal teaching accompanied the coming of the Holy Ghost they had genuine fellowship (42-46) They broke bread together and had all things in common and partook of the table of the Lord together regularly. And most notable of all the marks of this early church was they prayed regularly. Their attitudes were right verse 44-47 says they had a generosity about themselves verse 46 says they had unity they were one in spirit and were a glad bunch of people and the favour of God rested on them. To the point that people were added daily to kingdom of God today we see a lot of transferring of church people and its considered growth.

It's not always the size of the church that matters or counts as much as it is the working of the holy spirit in the church that brings the kind of excitement and freshness. Blessing on you as you read. I would like to take this time to encourage and stir you on in the things of God. I would like to share with you from the Word of God . If you are reading this on our website and would like to know more about how to become a christian we would love to give you the chance to receive Jesus into your heart and life.

If You Do Not Know Jesus As Lord And Saviour You Can Ask Him Into Your Life Today And Find That Place Beside Him His Waiting For You To Call Thats right Go Ahead and Call On Him. Jesus Wants To Come Into Your Heart and Life No Matter Who You Are and From Whatever Religion You Are There’s A Place Right Beside God For You.

We know that there have been so many well meaning people who have made this free gift of God so difficult and complicated yet God has made it so simple to receive Him into ones life and secure a place with Him for eternity. There are those who have made it a life long vocation to analyze and cut up the Word and then leave the Power of the Gospel right out of it and all that is left is a form of Godliness but no power. “Jesus said to whomsoever will come unto Him” not unto a church building or particular brand of church or denomination or ideas or philosophy. You could pray a simple prayer wherever you are you do not have to be in a particular building but right where you are you could ask Jesus to come into your heart and cleanse you of your sin and wash you from it and make you a brand new creature and that start you on a new life down here on earth and for eternity.

I hope you reading this will take some time to do just that and if you did send us an email and let us know that you have prayed that prayer and how we can help you further with your new life in Jesus we have access to many materials and resources that could help along with growing and becoming a mature christian in Jesus Christ.
