Proverbs 3: 5 – 6 (NKJV), “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take” (NLT).
The above verses have kept repeating in my mind and heart for the past week.As a result, I felt that I should share them with you. I have written these verses in autograph books, birthday cards and other types of cards as the occasion required. Also, I have received many testimonies of what it has meant to and has done for the recipient. What I am writing can be your testimony too!
A week ago, this past Sunday just after the service was completed, a distraught mother phoned me.Her daughter was having Covid-19 like symptoms and went to have it checked out.She had been out of the country and had finished the required self-isolation.Her Doctor sent for the test of this virus and the results were to be received Monday.I encouraged this mother with the word of God and that her trust was to be placed in it.I had her agree in prayer with me as we prayed.Monday morning the phone rang and there was an excited Mother on the line. The test came back negative!PTL!This is the God that we serve.AMEN!!
Trust is important for us to live our lives for Jesus. It is not something that one does blindly, but, as this scripture tells to rely, lean on the Lord God, our precious Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit for direction in our lives especially in this time of Covid-19 with all of its ramifications. If there ever was a time that we need to trust in God it is NOW.We are not to rely on what we know, our sense knowledge, but to rely on the Lord for the directions we should take, and not on what sense knowledge tells us.One needs the Rhema Word from God, Trusting in God and His Word grows our faith. As our faith grows step by step, we learn to rely on God for the decisions that are needed to be made in this particular time of our lives and will continue on after this season is finished. One will trust in God with all his/her heart, soul, mind. He answers when we call upon Him and do not lean on our own understanding. This is learning to Lean on God and His Word.As we trust in the Lord, I believe that many testimonies like this will come from and be told during this time of trial and testing. If anyone is feeling despondent at this time begin to read and place your trust in God and in His Word. This will lift your despondency and your faith in God and His Word will grow. AMEN
